'Out Of Gas'

Spike's Bitches 27: I'm Embarrassed for Our Kind.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Ann, that's a ferret.

There are 3 people from the division here today. Fortunately or un-, one of them is the Assistant Director (my immediate boss), whose office is right across the hall from mine.

Days shrink and grow cold, sunlight through leaves is my song. Winter is long.

(sneaks in, head down)

I skipped 2,000 posts. sorry.

Hi. Housema to Deena, Cindy that was a fabulous, wonderful post and I'm just gonna point--well, more of a graceful handwavy gesture, really--at it and you and nod.

Four generations at my MIL's table, and there was not enough left on the turkey carcass to make soup. Everything was delicious, as usual, and she wouldn't let anybody lift a finger to lay the table, clear, or do dishes. So, aside from the guilt, Thanksgiving was lovely.

Missed you all. If there's any direness or joy I need know about, can someone sum up? Thanks.

Our wings are not tired.

Beverly! Good to see you.

Direness, Aimee had to spend Thanksgiving Day preparing meals and entertaining guests without being able to use water (no showers or potty) because of a $15000 ring lost down the drain. No not Aimee's ring, she is not so silly.

Joy, reading all the lovely posts of food preparing and gathering plans.

Me. I was Miss Delegation as usual with all the food and table preparation. I left cleanup in other hands. Today I need to pack up leftovers in containers for future treats.

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

Cindy's post was indeed lovely, and I enjoyed reading about everyone else's thanksgiving.

I remembered something. I have to have a colonoscopy on Monday, so I'm not going to get to see the house then. No one else better buy my house before I get to see it.

Anyone else had a colonoscopy? I thought I'd be up and running around the day after, but something on the web made me think it might be a little longer than that.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Deena, I've had an endoscopy (tube goes in the other way). I was fine the next day.

I also know people who've had colonoscopies. Have someone to take you home and don't schedule anything for the rest of the day. Next day should be fine.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Also, Jars made a Thanksgiving dinner for a homesick neighbor.

We need to hear the end of the Saga of the Ring.

Deena, I hope you find the best possible house with the least possible cost and hassle. I really liked the house you linked to.

I didn't drive to my family's for Thanksgiving because I'm in the middle of a medical treatment, but that just meant I got two Thanksgiving dinners at friends', one yesterday and one this afternoon.

I want to echo Cindy's sentiments and say that I'm very thankful for my friends, both visible and blinvisible. May all of you have more to be thankful for each Thanksgiving.

brillig

Hubby's had several colonoscopies, the latest on Wednesday. We went out to lunch afterwards, then he spent the rest of the day sleeping off the rest of the anesthesia. He was a little groggy yesterday, but I think that's just because of his system protesting all the stuff that's happened to him. You should be fine a day later, Deena.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Cocloscopies are worse, um, BEFORE you have them. The system clearing out you have to do is not fun. The next day you'll be fine.

No, I don't think I will - me, quoting Captain Steve Rogers, to all of 2020

We need to hear the end of the Saga of the Ring.

Well, Frodo and Sam get to the Cracks of Doom and Sam's all "Toss it in, so we can starve to death outside where it's cooler" and Frodo's all "Yeah, okay, gimme a minute" and then Sam's all "Seriously, dude, I'm sweating balls here" and Frodo goes all "MWAHAHAHAHA!! The Ring is mine, beeyotch, so suck it!" but Gollum's all "I think not 'master'! I keel you! Woh-pah!" and he bites Frodo's finger off and then he fell in the lava.

Oh, the other Saga of the Other Ring?

Drains snaked. No ring. Water running. T-day saved. And then Gollum fell in the gravy.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Timelies.

Hope everyone had a good T-Day. I did, and my hosts were quite lovely and understanding about the mini-meltdowns I had before and after guests.

Cindy, thank you for your post. That was lovely.
