Now, I can hold a note for a long time...actually I can hold a note forever. But eventually that's just noise. It's the change we're listening for. The note coming after, and the one after that. That's what makes it music.

I dreamed my brother told me at family dinner that my mother had always thought that I had trouble with relationships because I was molested as a child. In the dream, that was pretty startling. Now that I'm awake, I'm thinking, what the hell was that?

Fortunately, that's one of the easier parts of the meal to skip -- just don't add any. Disliking cranberry dressing? Harder to get away with.

I'm with juliana. No gravy. I also don't eat much turkey on Thanksgiving. There are too many other good things to eat. I usually only take a little bit of turkey because it is expected.
