Speaking of pets...I was walking Toto this morning, and he was especially cranky. I'm not really sure why. But, he was barking at everyone. Unfortunatley, it was really early, so not many people were out (maybe he sensed this...I don't really know). I say unfortunately, because the first person he barked at was an African American man. The guy took it personally and started to yell at me, "He better not be barking at me because I'm a black man!" It made me very uncomfortable, and I ignored him.

His bus came, and he got on it, so he wasn't there to see Toto get even more worked up at this white woman walking past us. So, it had *nothing* to do with race. It was just because Toto was cranky. But, still, the whole thing made me very uncomfortable.

And I told him 'I thinks she'd applaud.'"

Well, wouldn't you?

I should be studying/writing an essay now. Instead, I'm here, doing this, and writing a to-do list that will probably never see the light of day again. On the other hand, I just got a letter telling me my uni owes me fifty quid, so hooray!

I have decided not to go to my first class today, in order to have more study time. Thankfully, I have pulled out some books from under the cat (which actually made her move anyway), and am getting to work.

ION, I am debating whether or not to go into work today. I was not feeling well all weekend (mild fever, dizzy spells due to low blood pressure), and I'm feeling like a day of bedrest would do me some good. OTOH, since I'm still a temp, I don't get sick leave. Plus, I'm probably well enough to drag myself in.

I'll probably wind up going in.
