Well, a gathering is brie, mellow song stylings; shindig, dip, less mellow song stylings, perhaps a large amount of malt beverage, and hootenanny, well, it's chock full of hoot, just a little bit of nanny.

Spike's Bitches 27: I'm Embarrassed for Our Kind.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

We got it, H. I'm so sorry for you and everyone who loves her.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Teacup guy's s-i-l finally replied to an e-mail I sent her a while back, but didn't answer any of the questions I asked her about gifts for her kids for Christmas. I asked her the questions again as politely as I could in my reply, but I hope I didn't sound like an ass.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

No need to explain, or even dwell, Daisy. Much strength to you, and as much peace as is possible.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I'm sure you didn't, sj.

No need to explain, or even dwell, Daisy. Much strength to you, and as much peace as is possible.

Yes. This.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

No need to explain, or even dwell, Daisy. Much strength to you, and as much peace as is possible.
This. My thoughts are with you.
We also have the big Nascar weekend happening
I'm doing a happy dance cause Tony Stewart grabbed the championship. Was actually yelling hoping Mark Martin was going to take the race win though. Sigh... Racing is now over for 2005. ::jitters::

Oh, and also -- anyone who misuses quotation marks and apostrophes gets whacked, too. Because that's the only way people will learn.
What about the Asteriks of Inflection?

Oof. Drove about 750 miles since Friday and have

  • briefly seen Kristin,
  • taken DebetEsse out to Joshua Tree,
  • briefly stopped at an artist's party,
  • accidently dropped my cell phone and then ran over it shattering it's cellular little heart,
  • hiked back to Barker Dam in Joshua Tree National Monument,
  • went to another artist's studio to tour and chat,
  • saw a "Ladies of 29" calendar with the woman who was my nearly my MiL tastefully nekkid,
  • paid cash money to get a calendar of my own with a request to have it signed last night at a party that I had to miss
  • because I had to drive quickly back to San Diego,
  • throw on makeup and something black,
  • met 3.0 and my ex for dinner with DebetEsse (who then took my car and came back here to snooze),
  • saw Depeche Mode which was ultimately fabulous,
  • got home near midnight,
  • woke up at 5 to shuttle Debet to LAX
  • and was back home by noon.

Then I napped and watched a race.

Thanks. Just, well, thanks.

Wow, Cass! That is a very busy weekend you had. It sounds like fun though. Well, all except for the cellphone mishap.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart
