They should film that story and show it every Christmas.

Spike's Bitches 27: I'm Embarrassed for Our Kind.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

In other news, I still HATE HATE HATE eyedrops. Even though I've been using them 4x a day for a week.

It's easier to get the drops in if you quit rolling your eyes.

Silence means security silence means approval

Since Susan is at work and pretty web-less right now, I'll be handling the Annabel pictureness today.

Watching Maisy

Practicing being a couch potato

About an hour after the second one was taken, I caught her eating a packet of Jack In The Box buttermilk ranch sauce. She was trying to suck it out of the packet like a vampire, but it got all over her shirt and hands and face and several pieces of furniture. It was fuh-nee.

Art Crawl!!!

Happy Birthday Jilli!

I had actual hot water in my shower today!

Also, it's much less windy and feels warmer even though it's only in the mid-20s F.

And I cannot complain because last night - I had heat while a friend told me today that her furnace chose to die yesterday and of course, she didn't notice 'til 9 pm. (Isn't that always the way.)

The status is NOT quo.

Want a *really* good read? I thought a lot of the Bitches might be intrigued by this article.

Go here: [link]

The woman who wrote it spoke to our staff and to our student body yesterday. Fan-fcking-tastic.

Tease: "A Nation of Wimps"

A nation of wimps: parents are going to ludicrous lengths to take the lumps and bumps and bumps out of life for their children. However well-intentioned, parental hyperconcern and microscrunity have the net effect of making kids more fragile. That may be why the young are breaking down in record numbers

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

The couch potato picture is adorable.

Have been taken over by snot monster. Trader Joe's tissues are not good for continued blowing. Have eleventy gazillion things to do. Have taken so much Benedryl that am stupid but not enough to stop the sneezes and drips. Stupid snot monster.

eta: Snot monster also affects spelling.

Our wings are not tired.

It is crazy how quickly Annabel is growing. What a lovely child.

Very interesting article Kristin. Bookmarked.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

I sense a new Lady of the Manners article. "How To Properly Attire One's Surgical Area"
