I am 100% male. Now, there were a couple that I think I could have done better on (the "what moved" and the language), had I tried harder, but still, I'm saying firmly masculine.

I'm 50% of everything. only place where i was higher female was in the words section. and I am betting DH could have beat me there.

That test is dumb. Most of the subtests didn't even have a statistically significant difference between males and females (especially, say, the finger test. 0.982 vs. 0.991 or something like that. What?)

I scored average for guys (50 on the guy side) but was actually right between the average scores (usually closer to the female average, actually) on everything except the mathematical stuff. Which has more to do with me being an engineer than me being a boy, methinks.

I gave up on the test quickly - does not work if you have poor vision.

Me too. I was exactly in the middle, which doesn't surprise me. Though I swear I've gotten better at spatial tasks since having Annabel from the sheer amount of baby gear (strollers, carseats, etc.) that I've had to learn to manipulate.

New job is OK. New Boss has a stormy temper, but it's very much of the flare up and cool down variety, and I think that mellow and unflappable side of mine that shows up so much better IRL than online will stand me in good stead there. And the flare-ups are only occasional, so it's not like she gets angry every day or anything.

I think it's the right job. It's challenging enough not to be mindnumbing, but I don't think it'll drain the kind of energy I need to write. The person I'm replacing has held this job for 7 years while getting a Masters degree in archeology and being busy in things like a choir and jazz ensemble, so I should be able to manage it while writing novels and raising a kid. And she's leaving because she's taking a job at the BRITISH MUSEUM. Her last day is 11/28, and she flies to London on 11/30. I'm taking this as a good sign that in a few years I'll be training my replacement because I'm ready to be a full-time writer.

My commute isn't bad at all--25-30 minutes down, 30-45 coming home. Annabel is doing fine in daycare--the first two days I wasn't even sure she missed me she had so much fun, but today when I came into her classroom she shouted "Ma!" and came running to meet me. Which pretty much made my day.

I'm exhausted. I've gotten out of the habit of spending so much concentrated time at a desk, and it's draining shadowing the person I'm replacing. While I'm glad we have a fair amount of overlap, I think the days will go by faster and I'll have more energy once I have my desk to myself. I need my introvert's downtime.

I got to the point on the test where they wanted you to have a ruler. Um, yeah, maybe I'll try again from work. So far, I'm scoring midline between what they seem to think is right for men v. women. But I'm also pretty drunk, so...

I've never clipped my dogs toenails. He walks on sidewalks and other paved surfaces every day, it keeps them pretty well filed.

I'm sure her nails need tirmming, but no. I'm not even going to try that. for ten or twelve bucks, the local Petsmart or whichever will do that and give her a brushing, so if it's been that long since the vet did it, I'll do that.

SNOW. On the ground. Feh. It's just a dusting, but the winter coat I ordered for Owen hasn't come in yet. Looks like I'll be sqeezing him in to his last year's coat for a day or two.
