AW! Annabel is so awesome.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Timelies!
It is TOO early to be at work and have things already no working. Can I reset the day. Please?
SNOW. On the ground. Feh. It's just a dusting, but the winter coat I ordered for Owen hasn't come in yet. Looks like I'll be sqeezing him in to his last year's coat for a day or two.

When you do, can your reset the thermostat as well? I'd like it to get out of the 30's today.
I'd like to get it into the thirties, thanks.

Oops. I guess there's always someone that has it worse. You guys are freezing your butts off along nasty windchills, I'd heard on the weather channel.

I'll be happy if it stays in the high twenties myself. I never did like the hot weather.

I've never wished for emoticons on this board before, but this calls for the one with the huge open-mouthed grin. I'm glad you're both doing so well.
I do get the desk-tiredness and need for introvert time, especially going back after being away from work for a while. It never goes away completely, but it gets better as you get back into the habit.

Your antipodean humor is never wasted, bt. I heard on NPR you guys were facing the hottest year on record down under. At least I know where to head if the world goes all Day After Tomorrow on us.

It's true! And yet it really hasn't felt like it. Apparently we had an unusually mild winter (which I'm willing to believe, but since my last winter was Philadelphian it was always going to feel mild to me). The summer wasn't really that bad.
I too have the snow and the not yet acquired winter coats issue. Aidan's wearing his all-weather coat over a lighter jacket and seemed warm enough on his way to the school bus, but I'm going to have to get him a hat that ties on.
