Hey, if it means I don't have to read any more, woo and, might I add, a big hoo.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

this mess was yours / now your mess is mine

When I think of weight lifting, I think of the sport. Powerlifting and all that. When I think of doing weights, I'm not thinking sport at all.

I have no doubt it's a personal semantic distinction

Ah. I get it. I never really think of powerlifting as a "sport," per se. I always just think of it as a more extreme version of "doing weights."

Our wings are not tired.

While we're talking about running, any tips for running on a treadmill?

That's the time I use to catch up on taped programs or DVDs. The time goes by quickly.

I am doing weight lifting with the boys now. We have a big Nautilus machine thing. I printed out the various positions and then noted the 3 of us and what weight and reps we are on. When they are not on the machine they have to keep warm on the treadmill, bike, stepper, or tramp. Since I married an athlete and have these 2 sporty boys we have lots of great equipment. We are just getting started so we'll see how it goes.

The wonderful thing that has been sitting in my garage for a year or so unhung is a big heavy punching bag. The coach next door promises me if I get myself some good boxing gloves that working with the heavy bag will get rid of my arm flaps. And yet it sits unused.

I have a weight bench thing that we inherited from my FIL that needs to be assembled. It has been in the garage for a couple of years and I'd love to use it, but I need someone to show me what to do.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

It has been in the garage for a couple of years and I'd love to use it, but I need someone to show me what to do.

Gimme a month and some, and I can show you, if you don't find someone in the meantime....

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

Murder is not good before noon.

It's noon somewhere.

love's a dream you enter though I shake and shake and shake you

Being strong appeals to me a whole lot more than being svelte.

Hell yes. One of the many things I'm looking forward to doing once I graduate from school is getting back to regular weight lifting. I felt so good when I was doing it before.

Juliana, it has been sitting for a couple of years, a couple of months is no big thing. I'd LOVE to have your help.

I am so excited about meeting you live and in person, btw. I wanna go out and play with you Thanksgiving weekend.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

I miss weight lifting. I do build muscle quickly, so it's fun for me to deal with weights.

However, I really, really need to find some cardio that doesn't suck, because I could lift weights all day and not improve myself on that score. I get turned off of it because I manage to skip the endorphins and go straight to the nausea and shaking.

Congrats on the job, Sail!!!

I am a bad wife, I have no idea what time DH's interview is today. It is over at Yurba Buena Gardens in SF is all I know. I don't even have my cell on me today (not sure where I left it this time).

Shoot - I just realized, Monday - forgot the cell, Tuesday - forgot my keycard for work, Wednesday - no cell again. My brain, she is a sieve.
