No. You're missing the point. The design of the thing is functional. The plan is not to shoot you. The plan is to get the girl. If there's no girl, then the plan, well, is like the room.

Spike's Bitches 27: I'm Embarrassed for Our Kind.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

I have good memories of Christmas when I was a kid. Once high school hit, it was all about the parents' drinking and not so much with the festiveness. By the time I stopped going home, my mom had stopped drinking, but I wanted to start my own traditions. The one time I've gone home for Christmas, was about four years ago when we knew my dad was very sick. My Grandmother fell out of bed at the nursing home during Christmas Eve night, broke several bones, lost consciousness, and they thought she wasn't going to live. My parents spent the day at the hospital and they had the only car, so we hung around all day waiting for news. When they got home, poor things were exhausted. We took them out for Chinese food. It turned out they LOVED going out to dinner instead of my mom making roast beef as she had done every previous year. My dad died two months later, so I am glad we were there.

I had a fight with my favorite co-worker and am feeling down about it even though it's over and it all seems okay now. Stupid work.

Mostly lurking...

Thanks for the earworm!

So, I need to write an e-mail to the prof who caused me so much stress yesterday. I'm thinking of something along the lines of:

Do you have time to meet tomorrow, either the hour before or the hour after class? I have some concerns about a few of the comments on my last assignment and would like to clarify with you before I start my revisions.

Thoughts?

Of course, what I really want to say is:

Professor Dumbo,

DID YOU EVEN READ MY FUCKING PAPER?

but, I will restrain.

I loves my co-worker but sometimes his communication style is difficult. Alas, he doesn't seem to see that. He did have reason to be mad at me but it came out of my frustration with his communication style. Anyway, it's over now and he says he's not mad anymore. Still feeling thwumpy about it, though.

Plus GF wanted to go to Disneyland on Friday and I can't because I have too much crap to do this week. Can it please be Nov. 11 now? I want the GRE off my plate, damn it.
