Spike's Bitches 27: I'm Embarrassed for Our Kind.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Thanks to William Gibson I know have the Michelin Man's real name stuck in my head forever.

Yup. Also, I will always be just a wee bit creeped out by him, too.

Trust my rage

We are back from the pediatrician. They looked at Ellie and saw nothing wrong. I think they had no idea what was causing the problem, but they weren't worried. I feel better that she was looked at.

So glad Annabel's first daycare day was a good one. Sounds like a smooth transition for her.

{{juliana}} just because and you are never a pain!

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I am now earwormed with "Don't mess with the Michelin Man."

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

it's always bad when there's a fight and I can't pick a side. Early returns from today probably indicate suckage, though.
I watched too much tv, so I am now leaning towards the Sheriff's side as NASCAR folks tend not to sound smarter the more they talk. But then I've been away from Joe "toughest sheriff in America" Arpaio stories for more than a decade so maybe it was just a battle of boisterous for me.
As he talks about buying a house and land out in the country almost as much as he talks of ways he is getting back at his ex-wife (who the hell would marry him?), one concludes that he will go away once he realizes he ain't ever getting the hours he wanted.
Well hopefully he will go away soon to realize his dreams of land and payback.
A good proposal. I think that will be the good cop's suggestion, after the bad cop says "baby + wintry autobahn = world of HELL NO." Or, more likely, "Why don't you and GF rent a car, and we'll do our thing, and meet up in the evenings?"
Excellent idea. Making it about their comfort and freedom and Mal's needs is perfect...

This is good news. Might be a mystery but it's not a scary dangerous mystery.

Good news, Stephanie!

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Even before Gibson got to him, I was always more than a little weirded out by a tire mascot whose name means "dude, let's get fucking wasted!" You know, more or less.

Because books.

Is she too old for it to be that thing that happens with newborn girls, sometimes? Where there are streaks of blood due to Mom's hormones, or something?

Also, birthday surgery sounds like a big un-fun to me, Jilli. I hope it goes well, and quickly, and painlessly, and not just because you're having it on your birthday.

That's good, Stephanie!

I must have been skimming again. How'd I miss this Jilli having surgery thing? Much luck, Jilli.
