Spike's Bitches 27: I'm Embarrassed for Our Kind.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Are you still on juliana?

I'm here, I just don't have any IM stuff.

Life moves pretty fast. You don't stop and look around once in a while, you could miss it.

Darling, you don't have to do anything. You can cry and sleep and make lists and take a bath or whatever gets you through. Know that you WILL get through this and you WILL find a better life for yourself--but you have to go through the dark place first. The way to get through is just to keep breathing and let time pass.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

((juliana))

Oh, god... I am just so sorry. Is there anywhere you can escape to for a few days so you don't have to deal with this briefly? That has helped me a little at times.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Just what you just did, J. Keep breathing, and come here and lean on us. It won't make the decisions or the pain go away, but it might make the next little bit easier.

All is well that ends in pizza.

No luck with the plunger. Feh.

Is it a double sink? If so, the problem can be that the second sink acts as a relief valve. Double plungers or having someone hold the stopper in the second drain may help.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

{{{juliana}}} If you need a place to escape to for Thanksgiving, I'm sure that my dad's crazy family wouldn't mind another addition to the table. Hell, even if you just want a weekend away, there's a spare bed and plenty of coffee.

Because books.

{{{juliana}}}

I can't even imagine how hard it is right now, honey. Can you just pamper yourself tonight? Take a long hot bath, curl up in bed with a movie guaranteed to make you feel, if not good, a little better?

Wish I could help in a f2f way, too. There would be hugs and hair pats and whatever you need.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Oh, hon.

Lillian sends virtual toes to nibble. I hear they go well with mac and cheese.

AH! I misread.

Silly Empress! Seriously, here in Seattle, a group of Actual Diverse Kidlets is a rare thing to see, especially north of Lake Union. (Due, in large part, to some really ugly and racist zoning laws that used to exist in the city.)

(You'd see it more in my neighborhood--the only well-regarded daycare near here is a bilingual multicultural one, but it doesn't have an infant room AND it has a huge waitlist.)

We don't even have a bathub. Isn't that just the shit?

I DESPERATELY want to drink, but I think I need to save that for another night.

Thank you all. I think I'll try catching up on "Angel" - I missed a lot of eps toward the end. I'll pop on and off..

Also, it sounds like a weird notion, but can you afford to get a hotel room for yourself one of these nights? One with room service and a bathtub, so you can just hole up and have some space that's just yours?
