Spike's Bitches 27: I'm Embarrassed for Our Kind.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

move out and draw fire

You didn't go with the wireless baby?

We tried, but he seems to be incompatible with 802.11g and we didn't want an unsecured baby, where anyone could warbaby in.

Mostly lurking...

I'm talking to Kara, and she wants to know if she can get me another mean kittie.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

Her behavior sounds age appropriate to me, Susan. I wouldn't worry.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Send me the info on the store and the cashier and what happened and I'll write a letter to the mangement telling them I was in line behind you and I was appalled.

VW, you should totally let Sparky do this. She does good mad.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Question for the masses -- my kitchen sink has been stopped up for 2 days now. The landlord was supposed to send over a plumber yesterday, and he never showed. (We called her last weekend when the sink was still slow, after it became obvious that Draino wasn't doing the job.)

If he doesn't show up this afternoon, are we justified in calling someone ourselves and sending her the bill? Because this is fucking ridiculous.

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

I think so, Jessica. You shouldn't have to be without a kitchen sink.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

(We called her last weekend when the sink was still slow, after it became obvious that Draino wasn't doing the job.)

This may sound obvious, but have you tried a plunger? (It took me two days to think of that the last time I had a drain plugged, and 2 seconds to fix the problem once I did.)

Huh! We hadn't, but that's a great idea. I'm going to email DH right now and tell him to try it!
