Actually not needing validation right now, but thank you.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Mostly lurking...

Just talked to my doctor. She's not in the clinic for the next two weeks, because she's on an ICU rotation. But, she's available for pages, so at least that's something.

She wasn't happy with where my peak-flow was at, so she told me to take my inhaler every four hours, even if I'm breathing ok.

And, if I have another attack today, I'm supposed to go in to be seen in the walk-in clinic. Either way, though, I have an appointment with the Nurse Practitioner tomorrow.

My doc sensed my frustration, though, and said to just try to hang in there and do the best I can.

When I spoke to Potential Boss yesterday, she said she needed my answer by early today, and I could speak either to her or to C, who I'd be replacing. I decided to talk to C, since she'd be training me and, if my read of the personalities involved is right, would be most likely to understand my holiday plans (which are non-negotiable) and the fact I'd rather start Wed. than Mon. (negotiable, but would give me a bit of a break between getting the manuscript out the door and starting work, and also give me a little more time to transition Annabel to the new schedule, which will involve all of us going to bed and getting up earlier). So I left her a voicemail and am waiting to hear back.

Doctor just called back. She changed her mind and wants me to be seen. So, I'm off to shower and head to the walk-in clinic.

Our wings are not tired.

Having mastered crawling forward, Mallory can not be left for even a second anywhere.

It really does complicate life when they achieve mobility.

{{Juliana}} I'm sorry you are going through this. I trust the Bayistas will take good care of you.

Good luck Susan.

{{{Deena}}} The red menace does seem to screw up a day, doesn't it?

{{{vw}}} Good call by your doctor.

Hope it works out for the best, Susan.

In other news, it's raining here, and there's a possibility of snow showers tomorrow and Friday. I am so not ready for this.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Ugh. I just accidentally copied my sister on a group email that could lead her to my LJ.

Sometimes, I am not so bright.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Daniel, no more falling down stairs, okay??

Yes. This.

{{{Deena}}} feh. I hope the rest of your day goes better.

Lunch with DH got cancelled today because of a meeting. So we're going to sit tight (it's raining, anyway) and I'm trying to work up a grocery list.

OK, about to try calling again. I want this resolved. I'm sick of having to think of the pay they're offering as Schrodinger's Salary.
