Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

For us, the explanation "that's owie" tends to work.

Paul, as you can probably tell by me even asking the question, is not on that plan.

He's union? No wonder you guys are struggling.

Dentistry has an opening for someone with streaming media experience, and it's a pro-staff Senior Computing Specialist spot.

And I'm not anti-union, so no one take that the wrong way. But the unions that represent UW classified staff are weaker than a weak thing. Their max-out point for salaries was low before the housing bubble and inflation. Now you can be a McDonald's manager and make more.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Yeah, TV's union. They offer brown bags on How to Ask for a Merit Raise, but that's about that. And yet? Still more effective than his previous union.

There's been some talk about changing his position to pro, and I think he likes the actual job, but it would be nicer if it paid a bit more. It was actually an income cut from the last job, because the last job had a lot of OT, but unlike previous job, this one's not a dead-end.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Gorgeous pics, Maria.

I can't believe this is my first chance to log in all day. HOWEVER, I did find 9-dollar Corpse Bride shoes on my way home from work tonight (in addition to a $5 winter hat and a swingy black velvet skirt), so that's all right.

It is raining big cold drops of rain outside. Ick.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Cool shoes, Jess.

My granny boots for my costume just got here today. without socks on they are actually comfortable, but I think I need to try to stretch them this week so I can wear them with my strippey socks. Also, need to practice walking in that high a heel.

Maria, those pictures are incredible! You are absolutely stunning in the OTD and the way the veil overlays the train so you can see the embroidery on it? Awesome. I blubbered over the flower girl, she was adorable! And I haven't even gotten to the food pics. Good thing I just ate.

Jessica, is the toe-nail polish part of the Corpse Bride costume, too?

"You see? THAT's what they want. Love, and a bit with a dog."

So I officially got the job at the video game store if I want it. My "interview" consisted of me walking in, Manager Dude looking at my app, and saying "Um, sure. I don't see why not." I could sit around and wait for the mall stores to get off their asses and call me, then have to grumble about mall parking, or take the lower pay and work better hours selling video games.

It's sort of the anti-Bath and Body Works. I think I enjoy that.

Actually, I'm hoping that by going barefoot in Minnesota in late October, I can save some money on blue makeup...
