Where's my morning crew? I need my Bitches fix before I head off to school.
Speaking of school...I'm a little nervous about going back. Usually, it is my pattern that if I miss this much school, I just quit going. But, that's not going to happen this time. I'm gonna jump back in. It's still nervous-making, though.
Go bug! Remember that just going back is a win, when your usual pattern has been to vanish.
Yeah, I should try to focus on the good side...the breaking of the pattern...rather than the fear. I'll try that.
morning! much ~ma and hugs to vw, because SHE ROCKS!
Weekend was pretty good, saw my grandmother for her 89th birthday on Saturday. I am worried about her- she's having such a tough time adjusting to her new condo/community home and she is very unhappy. But we had a nice visit anyway, and drove there and back on Saturday. Sunday, we had our friends B&C over for brunch, and it was actually much fun and prompted us to do some housecleaning and stuff, which is always good. Then I did lots of Sunday cooking- did a lovely simple melt-in-mouth pot roast with a gorgeous check eye roast on sale, and made a pot of chili for dinner tonight.
Have one conference to get through this week, then 3 day weekend, because we have 11/11 off.
Ok, Hec, since the last time I *wrote* thumb-wrestling, those people kissed, I guess I'm OK with not.(maybe a bit disappointed, but I'll use it for my art, right?)Keep your chin up, you magnificent bastard.(socks Hec affectionately)
Have a great day today, vw. Remember, you're breaking your pattern--and, in even better news, you're not staying in a hotel room with my mother and sister.
Do I detect another screaming Metro argument?
Depends. Was anyone else on the train that overshot Farragut West (one of the busiest stations during rush hour) this morning?
erika, I thought of you last night because I was able to find a "Homicide" episode on TV... though it was that Ken Starr L&O crossover, and the squadroom was purple and clean and the cast was very much with the pretty (Seda, I'm looking at you) it was still awesome to see G and Bayliss and the Baltimore DA guy whose name I forget but who was hooked up with Howard back in the day.
Damn, I still can't forgive them for what they ended up doing to G. He is my hero.
Seriously, Fred? Because it is one of the great embarrassments of my life that the last time I visited your city, my dad and I unpacked ten years of family baggage right there, on the train,AIWNFG. I'm still sorry, Green Line people. Y'all got a ride and a talk show, didn't you?ETA: Yeah, Vonnie, as H:LOTS go that's not so much good, huh? Ed Danvers...Special Prosecutor Fitzgerald reminds me of him...that about drove me crazy one night last week, being that we don't really know any prosecutors...Ivanek should practice his Chicaago accent for the film. Tripped me out.
