Spike's Bitches 27: I'm Embarrassed for Our Kind.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

My cats' are Rocky and Freya.

My cats' nicknames are Rocky and Freya.

Freya was named by a friend who hadn't yet met me, for those who might wonder.

And in case anyone's interested, I'm getting my hair cut this afternoon. It's the same cut as before, but it was growing out nicely, so I let it go for over two months. Then, on Tuesday evening, it all of a sudden looked like crap. Hence, emergency hair appointment. Hmmmpf.

If I only had a brain...

Deena, basically, the answer is that it's not at all clear *why* this is happening, but it's nothing that needs medical intervention. My retinas are just fine. I don't have cataracts. I don't have blind spots. Grid lines are straight and even.

That being the case, my vision is just all over the place. A prescription that worked this spring for reading glasses is now useless. My progressive prescription, which dates to July, is also next to useless. My astigmatism has changed so dramatically that I need a new pair of progressive glasses; that will be three new pairs I've needed so far this year, four if I also remake the readers.

And it's just one of those things, y'know?

IOnot-so-self-centeredN: Yeah Suzi! After all you've been through recently, it's so great to see TWO good things happening at work.

Deena rocks!

vw, I haven't asked for a while, but how is Toto doing after his medical problems of a few months ago?

I know I'm forgetting things, so punctuation to all!

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

If my eye gets worse, there's stuff they can do involving lasers. Which would be kinda' cool, I guess.

Oh, and they did a bajillion blood tests, which all came back normal. So they have no idea why the eye blood-clot happened.

It makes me scared for what is going to happen next. I've had too much of the good day crack recently. The other shoe is bound to fall.

Eye problems and migraines. These are bad. No more, people!

I hereby declare that all Bitches' eye problems and migraines must go away. And the flu. And colds, too, while I'm at it.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

YAY MG!!

Hi! I just had a full-scale meltdown at the doctor's, whee!!

Okay, it's in pursuit of a good thing, but still. I went in to talk about 1) my cough, 2) a scrip for Ativan, and 3) neuro testing because there is still fallout from the accident. When we got to 3) and I told her that my psych is worried that somehting slipped through the cracks and that I'm still getting the icepick stabby feeling in my right temple, she looked worried and not only said I needed to get the neuro ASAP, but that I probably also need an MRI. Which then prompted the meltdown, because I am so fucking scared and worried and stressed and angry about the ramifications from this accident.

Luckily my doc is very sweet and warm and she let me blubber and spoke in calming tones, but man, that was intense.

Anyway. No punctuation needed, but booze gratefully accepted. (Oooh, what *is* the Ativan/booze combo like?)

Try not to worry too much about the MRI. They're really not too bad. Although, if you can get it done with an open MRI as opposed to the standard kind, that's much more comfortable, especially if you're claustrophobic at all.

The commas, they are all mine!

I'm getting the pig!

Suzi, you've had more than your share of the bad. This is just a great big backlog of good that's been held up by customs, or some such.
