Spike's Bitches 27: I'm Embarrassed for Our Kind.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Because books.

Pink hightops have been achieved, although sadly, Hil, there was nothing smaller than a size 7, and the youth sizes were gone.

JZ and Deena, insent.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Job satisfaction: Sinking, sinking...

Annoyance Levels: Up on all bars.

Huh.

Sure. All better?

If I only had a brain...

ARRRGH. There's been a ten-minute conversation in Chinese going on 4 feet behind my ear. For some reason, my brain can't tune out Chinese the way it can English. I think it keeps trying to parse.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

For some reason, my brain can't tune out Chinese the way it can English. I think it keeps trying to parse.

Someone I know who knew about these sorts of things (can I recall this anymore poorly?) told me some languages' pitches makes it harder to tune them out. Chinese is one with a lot of high notes.

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

Betsy, I'm confused. What exactly happened with your eye? It was radically worse on Wednesday so they thought there was something else going on but it was just worse and that's it?

(I'm getting pink shooooz!)

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Betsy, I have the opposite problem -- I can ignore languages I don't understand a bit of, because I can make them background noise. But languages that I understand even a little make me listen to them.

Sorry, Nicole. Minor freak-out caused by a trigger. Thank you. Will explain more later.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I don't have a trigger, vw, but it did make me uncomfortable anyway...I just had skimmed past it until you mentioned it, ironically.
