Spike's Bitches 27: I'm Embarrassed for Our Kind.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Our wings are not tired.

Much health~ma for the dad of meara.

Yay Raq! You'll be back in the swing of it instantly. I have to say that the extra heaping of stress that comes from working outside the home is balanced by the comfort of adult interaction on a daily basis. Unexpectedly the best part of going back to the office for me is having to get dressed every day. I had been at the point where I never wore shoes and lived in gym shorts and tank tops.

Now on a daily basis I am happy to get to the office, then happy to get back home. (of course I never get enough done at either place)

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Once you've quit doing something, do you jettison knowledge of it? Or do you worry that you have?
Like falling off a bike... I mean, I worry about it constantly but always seem to manage just fine. Of course, I also usually sell myself into jobs with software that I need to learn still, so I have a pretty good idea of how quickly I can ramp up on most things.

Been up for two hours, must try to catch another hour or three of sleep now.

Sometimes I feel that I do. Once upon a time I could spell. And punctuate. It was a lovely time, especially for those who had to read my writing. Alas, those skills seem to have gone the way of my size 12 hips and will likely take a similar effort to recover.

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

Thanks, Raq, but I had to send it off yesterday.

Timelies everyone. I'm very sleepy this morning.

move out and draw fire

I know I'm a fast learner, but what bugs me is my memory loss. I mean, back when I played cello ( refuses to look at cello sitting reproachfully in corner ), I had to memorize recital pieces. And I would, and a week after the recital I couldn't remember them.

That's what this feels like.

Timelies.

I hope there's at least one in there that's just right and not so expensive you have to sell CJ to pay for it.

No shit. I'm putting myself in deep debt with my own school costs. Student loans are a bitch, but it will be worth it eventually.

She knows that we don't have much set aside for her and that she will need to work for scholarships and student loans herself. She pretty muched grabbed a brochure from every college represented, except the polytech or military based ones. She does not know what she wants to study, so this is a good way for her to see what programs are out there and see what sparks an interest.

In MEME news, I don't feel well. Throat is icky. Head is achy. But I'm at work. It will be an interesting day here. I have inside knowledge that someone is being fired today. She was hired a couple of months ago but has had personal problem after personal problem after personal problem and has barely been here. The stories about these problems are pretty sketchy and for the position she was hired into, much more responsibility was expected. Thankfully she is not part of my team, but her office is right next to mine, so I have been all too involved in her "career" here.
