So there is something I can do, besides scream like a woman?

Spike's Bitches 27: I'm Embarrassed for Our Kind.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

thanks for the good wishes! Sorry to be such a dork about it.

Betsy- glad partial victory was achieved, and want to hear about the dream job.

Maria, I bet you were psyched this morning to shower in a squeaky clean shower!

Deena, I hope today is better for you, and also I hope all the Bitches have a good day. Ginger, try not to kill anyone in DC, mmkay?

Edit: also OMG, Blue Lily! So cute.

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

Anne, that's so tough to deal with. I make lists, I give myself permission to give/do something imperfect...and sometimes I end up apologizing a lot. I don't really have an answer, though, except maybe learning to say no more often. That often just sucks, though, and leaves me out of the fun stuff because the "real" stuff comes first.

Ginger, have fun storming the castleDC!

Betsy, yay for the dream job!

Today will be better. I don't have quite as much to do.

I take no offense at Betsy's truth.

You were a wrong baby who grew up wrong. The wrong kind of wrong. It's better you hear it from a friend.

I just skipped more than 2000 messages. It was the only way.

Oh, Cass. You missed FAUNAPALOOZA!!

For me, it was seeing Billy Idol in concert, barely ten feet away.

An owl barked at me. That's my moment for the next little while, methinks. Wheee!

Hard to tell. She hated them less than bananas, but they're still Not Boobie.

Smear boobie with berry.

Um. That is, when you're feeding Lilybean, not just for the hell of it. It's a positive association thing.

For Lilybean, you understand. I have no idea if it'd be a positive association for you, and there are some things I'm more comfortable not knowing.

Adored Faunapalooza.

Hey, me too! Pint-sized echidna! And teeny penguins!

Thank you so much. I'm closer to a meltdown on this than I'd like to admit, and that's not exactly productive. Right now, I've got a couple of outstanding projects/commitments that I need to set right, and it's encouragement like this that will help me get them done.

Anyhow, off to work and lack of board access. Whee.

Faunapalooza was awesome.

Faunapalooza was awesome.

Oh, hey, I told a guy at work about Faunapalooza, and now he's taking his rellies (visiting from Florida) to Phillip Island when they visit next week. He hadn't realised how awesome it is.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

It's annoying because a) I feel guilty and angry at myself and b) this sort of procrastinate-procrastinate-forget behavior is something I've been working to correct for the past umpty-ump years.

Does anyone else have this kind of problem with follow-through? How do other people deal with making sure they follow through, and cleaning up the messes when they don't

Anne, I totally do, and I wish I had some solution to offer. In fact, I think I'm in a similar situation to yours and I'm trying to get it resolved but I'm not sure how.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

I released the good day (tm) into the wild last night with directions to seek out the buffistas in need.

It is amazing how much I have lowered my standards to what constitutes a "good day" in my life.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I got an A! I got an A! I got an A on my first paper/take home exam for my first grad school class!

Yay, Nora!!!

Partial victories. I sent E-mail to Will's teacher explaining the situation and she wrote back agreeing to give him partial credit this one time only.

Yay, Betsy!!!

Plei, I just showed Dave the picture of blueberry Tickybox and even he had to admit she is one of the cutest things ever.

Could we have started playing "Catapults & Battlements" with a spoonful of beef stew? No. It had to be blueberries.

Hee. Of course it did. It probably wasn't adorable on your end, but I have an adorable picture of Mal catapulting blueberries in my head.

Always Anti-fascist!

Hopefully the termite guys are done...the lack of noise will make a Good day for me. But that is what my headache was so that's good.
