Oh no. That just breaks my heart, Betsy. I hate disappointment like that even in my own life, but ten times worse when I see a kid facing it. Okay, disappointment doesn't quite seem like the right word, but there's no good word for rug-yanking-out-from-under-you-invalidating-your-hard-work.

If I only had a brain...

I've sent E-mail to the teacher explaining the situation and asking for a one-time-only partial credit.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I went to my law class a half hour late today, but at least I went. My professor didn't seem too upset about it. I need to come up with a paper topic by the 16th. I have no idea what I want to write about. Any suggestions. I went to my Psychology class and got a 94 on my exam, so I still have an A! The best part is I don't have classes next week! So, hopefully I can get myself more used to my new schedule between now and the 16th.

Yay vw's PCP!!! Now listen to her advice and take it easy for a couple of days.

Much ~ma to Maidengurl and family.

Betsy, how old is your son? Is it possible to set up something where your son has to write down all his assignments, have his teacher sign the assignment book, and then have you have to sign it as well? That is what my mother ended up having to do with me in grade school because I procrastinated so much and was just generally too disorganized to remember all of my assignments.

Betsy, much hope-the-teacher-has-sympathy~ma for your son. It's so easy to make an honest mistake like that. I've done it myself by marking the wrong time on my calendar even though I had an e-mail to refer to. Let's hope the teacher is Gumpian in philosophy.

I'm getting the pig!

My immediate supervisor just called a group huddle to announce she's leaving the company in a few weeks.

That whole "the straw that broke the camel's back" saying?

Yeah.

I'm ready to toss today into the furnace or burn it at the stake. Who's with me?

Betsy, I hope your son's teacher is having a better day than the Bitches seem to be having. Might help with her decision, if so.

Can we wait until about 9:30 tomorrow? I'll have my paycheck by then.
