Every nightmare I have that doesn't revolve around academic failure or public nudity is about that thing. In fact, once I dreamt that it attacked me while I was late for a test and naked.

Spike's Bitches 27: I'm Embarrassed for Our Kind.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

I speak a bit of Bugeese.

Now tagless for your comfort.

Owen's Halloween pics. Ignore the pregnant lady squeezed into the Ball State sweatshirt.

Well, really. What would you rather do? Banter with Trudy or finish that icky Computers and Humans quiz and work on that Advanced Composition piece that I no longer have any motivation for?

See? I gave everybody here an opportunity to tell me what a bad person I am and nobody did, because I fuckin' rule.

Obligatory periodic baby-name bitching:

That baby boy I mentioned a couple of weeks ago whose parents named him Myra? He just got an official middle name, and it really doesn't help matters any: Meriah. I'm feeling vaguely pinged, like it may be an Old Testament place name or some such with no actual gender associations connected to it, but in the real non-Biblical scholar World Out Here it's just going to make things worse for the poor kid.

Hey, Mom and Dad? THWAP

Now I feel better, and fully prepared to lavish parens on Aimée and point to all the wise advice, especially Betsy's, and nod like a bobbleheaded geisha. {{{{{{Aimée}}}}} Check in here as often as you can.

Also, lots of ((((()))))s to Susan as well. I missed the blowup in real time, but just caught up and ouched much on your behalf. You've had a ton of huge emotional stressors piling on in the last year, mostly landing square on all your preexisting sore spots, and I'm so very sorry. I've battled the insecurity demons for a long while, and it's a terrible (and frequently humiliating) battle. Courage and ((())).

And also a few ((((dw)))) as well, even though his language was awful, because it's damn hard to come back afterwards and apologize, and because, no matter how awful the language and how ill-judged the first angry post, the huge protective love for your wife and daughter that prompted it were so very clear.
