They should film that story and show it every Christmas.

Spike's Bitches 27: I'm Embarrassed for Our Kind.

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Punishingly Intricate

Em's healthy and lovely and apparently eats like a linebacker, so the skinny is just....skinny.

She reminds me of my cousin when she was a baby. Very slender as babies generally go but a healthy eater...And OI how that girl could scream. She's grown into a beautiful, still slender young lady (who is dating an inappropriately older man but that's beside the point I guess...).

You know if you guys are having trouble getting people to spell Annabel and Emeline correctly my friend is going to have some difficulties if she does decide to name her girl baby Rhiannon like she said she was going to after I karaoked it on Saturday. (Right now I want them to name the boy baby Escargot and call him Cargo.)

Are there any energy workers/healers or recipients of energy work people about? I have some questions and would like advice/opinions.

I'm not but I have a very good friend who does energy work and she's done some on me. I don't really understand it at all though. Except it feels nice when she does it.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

I missed out on the first part of the conversation so I'm not going to comment on that, but I have been composing an lj post in my head about the genetic lottery, small gains division, so I'll reply to the question about what do I worry about.

With Franny, it has most definitely been her weight. It's low enough that the doctor wants her to come for the occasional weigh-in and she's never been a big eater. Sometimes I wonder if it's just genetics that differentiates her weight from her brother's, or if I am doing something differently this time around.

Her brother hasn't given me much to worry about yet. We are blessed. But also this time around I am more relaxed, better able to not sweat the small stuff.

The other thing I worry about is the future. It bugs the living shit out of me when people see how willful she is and say, "oh she'll HATE you when she's a teenager." I mean, maybe she will, but it's not writ in stone. I was every bit as willful as she and I didn't hate my parents when I was teenager. She may not be like me, I know, but I find it offputting that there are so many people who want to piss on my future happiness.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

This weekend all Leif did was strip down his bed and empty five plastic baggies of rose seeds on it.

Being very literal about the concept of a flower bed was he?

Coding and Sleeping

Leif also locked me out of the house. I forgot about that one. Oh, and I forgot about emptying a pound of chocolate chips in his sister's room.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

THEN AT LEAST SPELL MY DAUGHTER'S NAME RIGHT!!!!!!!!!!

Hey, I was supportive, even if I did have three Ls in Annabel at one point. Is that the right number of Ns? The right way is not on-screen at the moment.

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Are there any energy workers/healers or recipients of energy work people about? I have some questions and would like advice/opinions.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

Was Leif tired?

When i think of fat babies , I think of my sister- who was a baby buddha. - but ended up looking like my mom's side of the family - thin heading towards the skinny side. It is one of those baby myteries.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

But still! Mobility, kid! You know you want it!

Heh. Considering that her mother is well content to spend an entire weekend in bed (as long as she has a laptop or stack of books), I'm not sure why you think the disinterest in mobility is unusual.

I'm very convinced that baby mobility is driven entirely by baby's desire to move (with rare exceptions). Some babies can contemplate the entire universe while sitting still, and that's sufficient.

When Emmett was little I was anxious about his potty training and whether he'd ever sleep through the night. Those aren't issues anymore.

Currently he's in a sort of no-worry zone, but I don't take that for granted and consciously remind myself of that fact.

Most of my worrying about Emmett was definitely about how the divorce would affect him.
