Kara went to school in a pretty black turtleneck, with the black skirt that sj gave her. I made her a wand that's almost as tall as she is, and we picked up some wings last night. Needless to say, she's no longer a pirate princess, Big Bird, or Sully (the monster, not the x-files character), which was another short-lived desire. She seemed to be quite happy once she realized that what she wanted was to be pretty and get to wear make-up.
Tonight she will wear a long, blue dress, a tiara and wings, carrying the wand. There will be makeup, also glitter. She is going trick-or-treating tonight as a frost fairy.

Ugh. I just got off the phone with my PCP's office. They were actually kind of rude. I explained the situation and told them I was told by the ER that I must be seen today.
"But your PCP is not in today. You need to page her."
"Can't I be seen by anyone else?"
"No, for something like this, you need to be seen by her."
"I am sorry, but I cannot wait until Wendesday to do something about this. I need to be seen today."

Absolutely! Aidan was going as a pirate, or a vampire (the costume could have gone either way with a little extra oomph) but now he's going as Sully because Greg fell in love with the costume. It's a better choice for him since he freaks out about extra things hanging off of him, and it will be very cute. There will be pictures of him too.

I'm looking forward to the cutiehead Halloween pictures.
The county wanted kids to go yesterday afternoon, but my neighborhood decided on 4:30-6:30 today instead. The kids are annoyed about the daytime trick or treating, but it really has to be this way.
We hadn't purchased costumes before the storm so the boys are going as gas and electric. Brendon will be a gas pump and I'm not quite sure how Bobby is going to represent electric. Grandma is still staying with us so she is getting it together with them today.
