Xander: Look who's got a bad case of Dark Prince envy. Dracula: Leave us. Xander: No, we're not going to "Leabbb you." And where'd you get that accent, Sesame Street? "One, Two, Three - three victims! Maw ha ha!"

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

One important thing to note about the fabric store is that among its rich and gorgeous brocades, perfect for corsets, it has a particularly lush gold brocade with little twisty viney shapes and Japanese characters and, my hand to God, Hello Kitty faces. Some Buffista needs this brocade, I'm certain. (If anyone's willing to commit, I'll happily trot back, buy some and ship it.)

I think I've finally experienced the vapors.

Day 1 of the 2006 F2F. Hell, I may go there from the airport.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

What's a Modern Girl to Do?

Long NYT Maureen Dowd article (adopted from her new book).

Are modern mores killing off what's left of feminism?

Reinforces my belief that dating sucks.

After Googling and Bikramming to get ready for a first dinner date, a modern girl will end the evening with the Offering, an insincere bid to help pay the check. "They make like they are heading into their bag after a meal, but it is a dodge," Marc Santora, a 30-year-old Metro reporter for The Times, says. "They know you will stop them before a credit card can be drawn. If you don't, they hold it against you."

One of my girlfriends, a TV producer in New York, told me much the same thing: "If you offer, and they accept, then it's over."

Bah. See, I'm the sort of person who would believe that if a woman offered to pay for dinner, that it was a genuine offer.

"Men would rather marry their secretaries than their bosses, and evolution may be to blame." A study by psychology researchers at the University of Michigan, using college undergraduates, suggested that men going for long-term relationships would rather marry women in subordinate jobs than women who are supervisors. Men think that women with important jobs are more likely to cheat on them. There it is, right in the DNA: women get penalized by insecure men for being too independent.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I feel like there is a baseball lodged under my right shoulder blade. I think I need to ice my lower back and heat my upper back. Wierd. But I am thankful that fainting was not a part of my day especially since I was walking pipes periodically through my 12 hours of work. I stayed 4 hours longer than I had intended but now I can work from home tomorrow instead of going to the theatre during a rehearsal.

Ice happened almost as soon as I got home. I still think the upper back needs heat though. Everything is so tight between my shoulder blades that I keep twinging when I turn.

Why did Darth Vader cross the road? To get to the Dark Side!

My neck hurts from grading.

Oh, ugh. Any chance you can get a massage?

oh joy! Oh Rapture ! I have a brain!

If someone says they'll pay - I expect they mean it. If someone says - let me take you to dinner - I expect you are paying. If you say "lets go to dinner" I thinking it is split the check

but If I had anydoubts - I 'd have money in my pocket

Perkins, Insent

Gas here - the lowest I've seen is 2.72. the highest I paid was 3.10 and honestly, I swear it was only there for a day or two.

early Dire Straits - amazing. and DH would be really sad to here anyone dis Mark Knopfler.

Brothers In Arms was one the first 3 cassettes I bought.
