I would guess a book bag would be harder to make, due to the needed sturdiness. But maybe I carry more books than you.

Try living in South Seattle these days. I don't know what service here used to be like, outside of the trip from the U District to Georgetown (which can still be done pretty quickly during the work week with the 133), but getting anywhere other than Downtown from Beacon Hill is a bitch.

Actually, Steinbrueck lives in Jackson Park. Which has great bus service compared to the rest of the non-U District North End.

Suffice it to say one of the many things I find eye-rolling about Seattle politics is the lack of a district system for the city council.
