Embrace the idea that we are the leaders we've been looking for. Grace Lee Boggs

I'm not going to hell now, am I??

You're instead going to be in a very nice place without Herbalife folks. There's nothing wrong with Herbalife that I know, and some really nice folks sell it, but the whole system is just a tad scary to me.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

Well, you know it's having the desired effect.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I say back away from the direct marketing in general, unless it's something that you personally will use enough of to make it worth your while to join.

Happy birthday, Brenda!

The other cool thing happening is that Glamour Magazine is having some sort of ceremony honoring women working for humanitarian causes, and they're flying my mother and 12 girls to New York, where the kids will be part of a backup choir for Mary J. Blige.

Dana, that's AWESOME.

Someone just made the fantastic suggestion that I submit Save Firefly to This American Life. Ira Glass is a Whedon fan. Everything I write I read aloud, and if it doesn't work when i read it, I revise.

OMG Allyson, totally do it. I would FREAK MY SHIT OUT.

I actually think a lot is lost in the story when it becomes "tired old grandma won't get up" rather than "courageous woman takes a big damn risk to spark a change in the world."

Me too. I think making a decision to take political action is a BFD.

Oh, and here's the story of my day: [link]

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

That's what I'm thinking. Am I supposed to suddenly realise that people might not be happy with their browser screens stretched and take it all back? Hell no. I suggested that they look into instituting anti-hotlinking policies at the forum in question, and having admins that can delete or edit posts that violate forum rules. And that the huge gifs were staying until the end of this billing cycle.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

Would those be harshmellow peeps?

Frank, this almost made me spit my sesame cracker all over my iMac!

Allyson, you on TAL would be perfectly awesome!

Brenda, happy b-day! I have no spelling issues with "Brenda".

Oh, and I just ate an entire tube of M&M minis during Gilmore Girls. I should be falling unconsious in about an hour.

TAR: the scenes in New Orleansare just eerie.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

On Gilmore Girls, what was the big blow-out between Rory and Loreli?

Emily - Oct 25, 2005 4:14:22 pm PDT #8701 of 10002
"In the equation E = mc⬧, c⬧ is a pretty big honking number." - Scola

I believe it was dropping out of Yale. Also, Lorelei totally shouldn't have left just then. I disapproved of that.

Also, I got 70/65 on my test! Go me!

Emily, I totally agree that was a shitty exit.

Has anyone here shopped at White House/Black Market? I'm looking at their sale stuff -- some of it's really pretty. Good quality?

msbelle, did you like Eyes? I'm watching the unaired eps, and they just used the term "jackhole" which always makes me think of you.

Uh, fondly.
