Could just be a hoax, though. I fake some headaches, everyone gets used to poor helpless Spike. Then one day, no warning, I snap a spine, bend a head back, drain 'em dry. Brilliant.

Ow. That Post article was really well-written, though.

Trust my rage

Does Ellie like the trippy music?

Yes, but not enough to give in to sleep.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

ita, maybe this will help you feel better.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

I think my worst bruise ever was back in high school, when I was helping move some scenery from our school's stage (where it was being constructed) onto a truck for transport to the theater the show was going to be performed in. The stage door was at the same level as the truck bed, which was backed up to the door. Problem was, I didn't notice that there was a small gap between the end of the floor and the beginning of the truck's flipped-down door, and managed to put my leg right through it. Ended up with a scrap and nice ring of dark purple encircling my leg a few inches below my knee. This was a problem only because the play was a post-WWII Agatha Christie. The dress just barely covered the bottom of the gauze bandage and was obvious even with the heavy nylons I wore. At least the part was an elderly woman who was very sedentary, so I didn't worry about the dress flipping up at all.

Heh. Tina Fey and I were theatre majors at UVA together. Not close friends, but we knew each other. WHO WANTS TO TOUCH ME?!?!?!

Huh. This means you also went to school with one of my friends.

Really? Who?

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I can't speak for ita, Tom, but that link made me happy.

Worst bruise in recent memory would be my foot, after I stumbled off the curb. It was dark and heavy with blood, the kind of bruise that had people demanding to know if I'd been to the hospital.

Another set of bruises that were just gross were from freshman year of high school when we had gymnastics. The parallel bars had me in such bad shape that I was double-wrapping my knees in ace bandages.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Anyone else get stuck on the F/A lines this morning?

My train got as far as 2nd Ave, sat there for 15 minutes saying we'd be moving shortly, and then admitted that F and A trains weren't running at all, due to a "smoke condition" at West 4th. When I got up to the street, there were about 6 helicopters just hovering. Fortunately, I ran into the Mud Truck on my way to Union Square, so at least I had coffee. And it wasn't raining.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Prince==so fucking cute.

Thanks, Tom! I forget how old those songs are.

My worst bruise is the one that got infected, and that I still have three years later, whose swelling has not gone down all the way, and which may have permanently fucked with the lymphatic system in that leg.

Ah, well.

Bruce.... Sigh.

Nice tag, Perkins. My current WiP is named from a line from the new album, although I haven't actually listened to the album much.
