Morning. Anyone want to bring me coffee in bed?
I do. Pity about that whole rest of the country in between us thing.

Speaking of which, suggestions for good exercises for the calf muscles? I'm having some problems with my achilles, and I think loosening/strengthening the calves might be a good first approach.
I've been getting PT for this recently, brenda. I injured (partially tore) my achilles last summer, and I've been trying to get more mobility and function back. The muscles at the back of the calf that attach to the achilles (the soleus and the memfault?) shortened up on me as a result of the injury. I've been given a number of stretches to do. Two of them use a stretchy band around the foot, then flexing the foot, with the knee straight, then bent. Another is placing one foot (in my case, the injured one) forward, bending the knee slightly, then leaning forward over the foot until you can feel the stretch in the calf/achilles, then holding that for several seconds, then repeat. Other stretches use an inclined plane, or a pop can under the foot, looking to change the angle and give a stretch to that area.
Hope that helps.
