It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

Where's Jesse? Is she in full duck-n-cover mode?

Are you looking for Jesse?

I can't even.

Speaking of which, suggestions for good exercises for the calf muscles? I'm having some problems with my achilles, and I think loosening/strengthening the calves might be a good first approach.

I've been getting PT for this recently, brenda. I injured (partially tore) my achilles last summer, and I've been trying to get more mobility and function back. The muscles at the back of the calf that attach to the achilles (the soleus and the memfault?) shortened up on me as a result of the injury. I've been given a number of stretches to do. Two of them use a stretchy band around the foot, then flexing the foot, with the knee straight, then bent. Another is placing one foot (in my case, the injured one) forward, bending the knee slightly, then leaning forward over the foot until you can feel the stretch in the calf/achilles, then holding that for several seconds, then repeat. Other stretches use an inclined plane, or a pop can under the foot, looking to change the angle and give a stretch to that area.

Hope that helps.

TAR is being adapted for Asia and Europe. It would be fun to see those TARs too.

A friend's cousin works in Bollywood, and is involved with the Indian version of 24, which is apparently working out to be the most expensive teevee show in Indian history. Hee. He also said that they aren't even trying to be original, and are just transposing everything (plot, characters, etc) right on over.

Thanks, JS. I'm trying to get back to running and to avoid having to go the PT route myself, so I'm happy to try it all.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Do they have mountain lions in India?

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

As a general rule, any time HR talks about "exciting new changes to benefits" they mean that you're going to get less of them.

Yeah, this time it's that we're going from our old company's benefits to the new company's benefits, and changing medical insurance providers, which means "exciting new paperwork" for us all.

Maybe they'll upgrade to a tiger.
