So, how was your summer? Mine was fun. Saw some fish. Went mad with hunger. Hallucinated a whole bunch.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

I know I need to get out of the house to enjoy the sun-- but since my apartment gets western light this is the first sunny afternoon since I moved in that I've gotten to spend in it.

Must. get. brunch. Where to go?

Good Trouble and Righteous Fights

Still trying to wrap my brain around 74 not being considered a warm temperature. I mean, it's not hot, not even when it's a muggy 74, but it is shorts weather.

We have scraps of orb peeking through the clouds, but I don't expect it to last. And I envy all the people with proper crisp fall weather. I don't mind Seattle winters as such, though they could stand to be a bit colder, but the lack of crispness to our falls does get depressing. Though you could argue that three months' worth of mostly sunny and 70's in the summer is a fair trade for practically no sunny and 50's and 60's in the fall.

Hrm, all of my staple Manhattan brunch places are on the Lower East Side. Virage, on 2nd Ave/7th St is very good. Essex (Essex/Rivington) has amazing food, but tends to be full of loud drunken cokeheads.
