It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

I hope he appreciates all the work you put into it, Allyson, cuz that is amazing.

Now tagless for your comfort.

New Bond. It's the Layer Cake dude--which makes me kind of happy.

Ann, that's a ferret.

Sometimes when I'm grading I want to cry. Does that count?

Depends. How bad is the work?

As bad as the student who once said on a Western Civ exam that the Gracchi was a famous sea monster?

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Timelies!

I'm going to get two teeth pulled right now. Bye!

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Good luck!

Ooh, can we pick which teeth?

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

Have good Valium! (I don't go to the dentist without it.)

(The knockout stuff they use for pulling teeth is a benzodiazepine like Valium++, unless your oral surgeon is really doing it wrong.)

(And then, they give you opiates when you go home! It's a pharmaceutical cornucopia!!)

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Poor Tom. Maybe it'll stop raining as a reward for you. Of course, maybe it'll NEVER EVER STOP RAINING. I know it's minor weather to whine about, all things considered, but whine I shall.

ION, I stayed up way way too late last night, so I set my alarm so as not to sleep the day away, but I woke up before my alarm anyway. So that's something.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Timelies! Today we see if Theo has enough spare time at work to keep up with the board. Probably not, but we can always hope.

When did Theo start refering to herself in the third person? And is this a trend?

What is even happening?

Toothma, Tom.

Allyson, the pop-up book is incredible. I like the little Caldecottish sticker you put on the front, too.

I just caught up with about 250 posts, so I will just say I had a real problem with crying at work. I never cried if I was sad, or hurt. I cried when I was angry. I didn't sob. I didn't bawl. But my eyes would well up, and my voice would be all chokey. Finally, I just told people, "Look, you know how pepper makes you sneeze? Anger makes me cry. I have to just talk through it and it will go away. Please don't be nice to me about it, or I will cry more." It was embarrassing. It also was, for me, a reflex.
