So, Maya's doing the LOST party thing again next year. Weird thing? I already am getting phone calls about it, one of which was someone who told me that I could not allow someone she didn't like to purchase a ticket.
I was just reading through LJs and caught a bit of the controversy, but I still don't know what the deal is.
It just seems such an odd thing to do.
Allyson, a gentle reminder. People often CRAZY.
Oh, msbelle, I'm supposed to remind you to not knit with chenille, since we're passing around reminders.
THANKS! you're the bestest (of the sarcastic wiseasses I know)!
Talk more! I'm trying desperately not to do homework here!
Hey, what are good new-mom gifts, if one doesn't know if the couple's registered?
I've phrased this badly. I don't want the kind of gifts one would register for, because I have no way of knowing if she already has them or not. And I may just go with a gift certificate, or ask about a registry, but I was wondering if people had unusual-type suggestions.
Lotions and nice bath/shower things.
do you want the gift to be for the baby or the mom?
what are good new-mom gifts
Depending on the baby/family, I often like to give a token gift to the little bugger (bibs, towels, etc.) and then a generous g.c. to a take-out restaurant for the parents.
The lori petty entry on fug made me snort, also scroll down to bijou. [link]
msbelle, shouldn't you go home and sleep!
Today is the first of emails out to the clients of my first launch. I am staying until 8 with the customer service folk. Also, I have work to do.
