When we landed here you said you needed a few days to get space worthy again and is there somethin' wrong with your bunk?

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I am watching last night's Criminal Minds. So far it's only so so, but still MANDY PATINKIN, and a cutie junior detective.

Now tagless for your comfort.

I think that with Welsh, you make the double-L sound by sort of putting the tip of your tongue against the roof of your mouth and blowing as you make the L sound. Which would sound kind of like a "th".

Yeah, that's it. But the beginning double-L is even harder. Every time I said it, they still made fun of me. It's something like "chlanethi".

Silence means security silence means approval

Think of it kind of like Scorpius' menacing aspirated growl. That's about as close as I can get.

I called it Lan-Nelly my first two weeks in Wales. I was semi-corrected later, but never did master the ll all that well. Didn't have any problems with dd and ae, though.

I just fell asleep on the sofa.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Who wants to play a round of guess who can't go to sleep?

Um... the Secretary of Agriculture?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I fell asleep a number of times on my cuddle lounge. I think I watched most of CSI inbetween.

There's no good reason for me to not be in my bed. I'm sleepy and all that. 23 more minutes of SGA, and then I'll go into the other room.

So ... freebie .... it's not me who can't go to sleep.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

Which means high ceilings, gorgeous hardwood floors and moldings and floorboards. It's really big, 750 sq feet.

Sounds a lot like my apartment, the one I have to move out of in the beginning of next year (damnit), except I'm not too sure if it's quite 750 sf, but pretty close to it.

I went to Trader Joe's for the first time tonight! But they didn't have the lemon crisp cookies I was really craving, so I compensated with chocolate instead. I did get lots of frozen fruits and veggies, and a gallon of apple cider (yum, organic apple cider!). They said the new flyer is coming out next week, so I might go back sooner than I thought.

"I'm useless alone." // "We're all useless alone. It's a good thing you're not alone."

msbelle, you can stay up with me. Husband and I are sleeping in shifts, so that someone will be checking windows every so often, making sure that they aren't leaking. And that, you know, the house isn't blowing away.
