"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

Aw... The Dark is Rising! I should reread that.

In my copious spare time, of course.

ARGH. I couldn't nap though I'm falling down tired. And before I pick up The Culture of Fear or Constructing Crime, or my light reading on Serial Killers (you'd love this class, Kristen! I just read an article called "Cultural Development of Monsters, Demons and Evil"), I should put my car in the garage.

You're taking a class on serial killers?

Where do I sign up?

Not really. But I am reading lots about them. I'm reading about Crime Fear and Violence in America. Which for damn sure is easier and more interesting than the Divine Comedy has turned out to be.

The idea of article I mentioned above was that there have always been serial killers, but we used the guise of monsters and demons to explain their existance. There was the cite of a 16th century duchess who killed women and children and then bathed in their blood after particpating in necrophilia. They thought she was a vampire, naturally.

That sounds like a really cool class. And I'm very interested in that article.

That does sound cool, Kat

It was probably all for the best

Yep.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

Huh. Caught up and have completely forgotten anything I wanted to post.

I'm bad. I skimmed... except for the Serenity premier stuff. So shallow of me. But! So fun to read about. I believe msbelle's phone call and the fan who was whispering to Allyson were my favorite parts. And the secret sign language of snark - that was good, too.

Oh, yeah! What Jen P said.

GS: If you had to choose between kicking evil in the head or the behind, which would you choose, and why? Minsc: I'm not sure I understand the question. I have two feet, do I not? You do not take a small plate when the feast of evil welcomes seconds.

Elizabeth Bathrony, I believe. (Close. Google tells me it's Bathory.) Her name pops up along side Dracula's whenever people write about "real" vampires.

t was really big into vampire lore for about a year in highschool

I am watching last night's Criminal Minds. So far it's only so so, but still MANDY PATINKIN, and a cutie junior detective.
