Yes. Men like sports. Men watch the action movie, they eat of the beef, and enjoy to look at the bosoms. A thousand years of avenging our wrongs and that's all you've learned?

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I should get a throw blanket. Or a sweatshirt. (get one on, I mean -- I have them in the house, but not within armslength.) I am Not Warm. These are some of the few days in the year when the subway is more comfortable than being outside. Usually it's too hot, today it was pleasantly warm.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Well, we're in that part of the year when the sun goes down noticeably earlier day by day, and it hasn't thrown her off at all. And her earlier walk varies a lot by when I get home, so it's not like an interval thing. Bizarre.

I have a throw down comforter from Target. The containing fabric is polyester/not-cotton, I think, which can be annoying on clammy days, but hey, it works! I recommend. So do the cats. It's covered in fur.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I have approximately a zillion throw blankets, some of which I really should donate to charity. OK, I'm going to get a fleece one now.

"This bar smells like kerosene and stripper tears."

We could use a leetle more rain. They keep forcasting it, but moving it back a few days. On Sunday it was going to rain today, Monday it was going to rain this weekend. Today I don't even see it in the forecast.

I was going to work late today to get ready for my trip to Houston. Instead I worked late on year end stuff, which means I get to work late tomorrow and on Saturday to get ready for Houston.

New fun thing about Houston trip. They don't know we're coming. Unless of course they lurk here, in which case...GET YOUR SHIT TOGETHER PEOPLE!!!

None of this working late and uncomfortable trip should be taken as me bitching about my job however, because I still love it to pieces.

Yay for loving your job, Daisy!

We're having flooding all over the place here, but luckily not where I am.
