Running into my old boss who has become a mucketymuck in the parking lot is weird. I don't like answering the "how's it going" question to acquaintences, much less exbosses who were in on the management meetings that had to do with coworker firings, y'know?

waiting patiently for Allyson's book to be published

Why am I watching LOST? I never got into the show, and am mildly annoyed by it.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

How does the dog know when it's 8:30? Every single night, 8:30. It's uncanny. Guess I'm off for a walk.

brenda, does your dog compensate between daylight savings/standard time? THAT would be weird.

brenda, same way as mine know when 7 is. FOOD. Or something like. Of course, Devi thinks I can't read clocks and starts in around 6:30. Hah! She hasn't fooled me yet.

(but she has reset clocks. I should be concerned, huh?)

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

If it doesn't stop raining soon, I am gonna start building a boat.

I got my awesome sound sticks computer speakers. WHEE!

my house is chilly, I had to bust out the throw blankets.

It's not raining here, it's just graygraygray.

Huh. I take that back. Drizzling.

I broke out the sweater robe to wear over long sleeved t and pj pants.

I really need to buy a new down comforter. Mine is over a decade old and due to its design, getting harder and harder to keep the feathers evenly distributed.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I should get a throw blanket. Or a sweatshirt. (get one on, I mean -- I have them in the house, but not within armslength.) I am Not Warm. These are some of the few days in the year when the subway is more comfortable than being outside. Usually it's too hot, today it was pleasantly warm.

Well, we're in that part of the year when the sun goes down noticeably earlier day by day, and it hasn't thrown her off at all. And her earlier walk varies a lot by when I get home, so it's not like an interval thing. Bizarre.

I have a throw down comforter from Target. The containing fabric is polyester/not-cotton, I think, which can be annoying on clammy days, but hey, it works! I recommend. So do the cats. It's covered in fur.
