Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

So, I'm watching Grey's Anatomy, and it's a good thing I don't watch TV to get my politics validated. So I'm mostly just @@ and not infuriated.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

I'm eating TJ's spinach and tofu eggrolls for dinner. Very yummy.

You always do this. We get tipsy, and you take advantage of my love of the scientific method.

Until this year, I had never heard the word "fungible" used in conversation or print.

Sort of like the year everybody in the computer industry started using the word "paradigm."

And just for Jesse, Joe Torre just put Bernie Williams, his DH today, into center field, which means that Yankee pitchers will have to bat for the rest of their game today.

See, I don't even know what that means.

Edit: I mean, I know what the words mean, and that DH is Designated Hitter (right?), but the significance is lost on me.

Took me a split second to turn DH from dear husband to designated hitter. Not that it particularly helps my understanding, but it does make the paragraph much less odd.

JOE TORRE AND BERNIE WILLIAMS GOT GAY-MARRIED?!?!?

This is what I'm saying. Plus, according to that paragraph? Just for the day. Which, you know, odd.

Silence means security silence means approval

Just for the day. Which, you know, odd.

Remember, if they win, they have to fly back to Orange County. So, they can stop in Vegas, get a quickie divorce, and then Torre can day-marry Ruben Sierra.

And if they win tomorrow, then they stop in Vegas again on the way to Chicago, and Torre can dump Sierra for Jason Giambi.

Greece's financial crisis threatens to take down all of Western civilization - a civilization they themselves founded. A rather tragic irony - which is something they also invented. - Jon Stewart

On Grey's Anatomy: I'm forgiving the miscarriage because a) they did a coolio ectopic pregnancy and (more importantly); b) when the doc said "How committed is she to this pregnancy".

I'm also impressed that they said nothing about the baby surviving (which would be impossible and they'd all know that) and focused on Christina's health and damage and recovery.
