That sucks Consuela. I am glad they didn't go farther though.
Eighteen.
To the 18th.
Not only did Garner play, but so did Julio Cruz (1st base coach). And Nolan Ryan is in the crowd -- he couldn't pitch in the 16-inning game because he'd thrown into the 10th a day before.

I looked up the game. Houston only used 5 pitchers, and the Mets only used 4. They used relievers differently back then.
Ooh, the non-firstbaseman couldn't scoop up the throw.
Consuela, that's infuriating and also scary. I'm sorry that it happened to you.
What shall my name be, mother of nutty and flea and Nate?I like Fluffer Nutter, or Flutter Mother, or Casper's Nana.
Fluffer Nutter
Wow, I can't work out how it took until now for that too look like porn.
I'm getting old.
You know, I don't actually know what a fluffer is or does. I see the term. I understand it enough in context not to ask. See me not asking. I'm just typing nervously, lest anyone think I was making inappropriate naming suggestions to Casper's grandmother.
C'mon you Astros. How 'bout you get a run for Clemens for once. (Of course, Clemens is leading off, so it's in his own hands.)
