Gunn: The final score can't be rigged. I don't care how many players you grease, that last shot always comes up a question mark. But here's the thing. You never know when you're taking it. It could be when you're duking it out with the Legion of Doom, or just crossing the street deciding where to have brunch. So you just treat it like it was up to you—the world in balance—'cause you never know when it is.

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

Think how it'll feel if someone puts robot fish in a bowl near it.

Well now I'm tempted.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

I have a little wind up dolphin and a penguin that are meant to be bath toys. How deep of a water bowl do you have?

I hope poor, crazy Ozzie is okay.

I think he will be. I'm just letting him be for now.

I think Perkins the cat may have helped the crazy along on this one, since sometimes he likes to attack ozzie when ozzie is growling.

eta: That could be fun, Aurelia.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

As an FYI, K-Mart hasn't owned Waldenbooks/Borders since about 1997 or so. They're on their own as Borders (I think the Amazon connection is an affiliation so they don't have to maintain their own website, which failed miserably a few years back). t /former Walden employee

I just got back from finally unloading my car at Goodwill. Six boxes and two bags of stuff, and I still have another five bags and two boxes here to get into the car and drop off tomorrow. I'm taking out the six bags of garbage that I got by cleaning out my closets (non-donatable crap clothes, etc.), and then just some dusting and scrubbing, and floor sweeping and mopping, and my fall cleaning will be complete!

Reason number 5,643 I love living in Sothern California?

There is a pomagranate tree growing in our courtyard. YUM!

(Reason no. 5,642 was the lemon tree growing in the back)

Silence means security silence means approval

OK, Heloisian types: I want to get the mildew smell out of a pile of towels and garments. How much white vinegar am I supposed to add to the wash water?

ooooh. I have a tangerine tree which is giving me wee little edible (though slightly tart) tangerines! SO cute.

And it's persimmon season, so I just ate one. Yum.

Hope Ozzie recovers from the crazies. About the only thing that Devi responds to is the muezzin call. She stares raptly at the radio when one comes on.Mister Kitty has a few favorite songs, but I think that's because I'll start dancing to them, which means he gets picked up and danced with (at his insistence.)

W&G was fun. Theater FULL of kids, so you'd get young voices popping up with observations and questions. Which just made it funnier. At one point it was "It says 'May contain nuts' Daddy! Get it? Do you get it ?! NUTS!! They mean mmmrph" at which point the entire theater cracked up even harder.

Must go call my dad. Mom sent me email. She forgot his birthday. Or rather, forgot what day it is. Flaky mom.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

We too just got back from Wallace and Gromit. I've decided Gromit is the ultimate woobie.
