Zoe: Yeah? Thought you'd get land crazy that long in port. Wash: Probably, but I've been sane a long while now, and change is good.

It's damp, warm and humid here. What happened to fall?

The feeling you get when your brain finally lets your heart get in its pants.

And see, for some reason, I flashed to ita right away.

Me too.

Well, she could kill us all.

True, but I bet msbelle and I are safe, since she needs people to show her how to be nice.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

Timelies all!

Still raining here. In fact it rained all night. I'd like for the Hastings gig to be cancelled, but I'm afraid it won't. Dancing in a mudpit, yeah that's my idea of fun.(Also, are any paying attendees gonna come out in this? Honestly...)

"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

It is raining here too. If you can dance in a mudpit, then I have no excuse for not gardening in the mudpit of my back yard.

I mean, except for the part where I am still in my jammies.

It's cool here--the 7-day forecast has us between 55 and 70 at the most for the next week. They finally turned the boiler on overnight, because the bathroom radiator was actually warm this morning. Of course, the cat is pissed because she can't sit in the window well, only the ledge, but she gets used to it. I'm debating if I should put the two fans into the closet for the winter (I just know that as soon as I do, we'll have a bout of Indian Summer with the temperature pushing 85-90).

move out and draw fire

Fall is here.

With it come allergies, but I'll take that trade-off.

Well, they cancelled the gig, at least for today.(and that's all G and I signed up for, so we're free)

The evil is this way?

Topic!Cindy -- *TAUNT BAYBEE *

Well, in loving memory of my father: Pbbbbbbllllt

I strongly suspect, if there is a heaven, that my mother extended heartfelt sympathies to the dearly departed members of Red Sox Nation. Then she went and joined a loud and exuberant party for the White Sox fans. First time the White Sox won a post-season series in 88 years – since the 1917 World Series.

Oh, my poor children. They think they feel the full depth of pain of a citizen of Red Sox Nation. They've seen the Red Sox as World Series Champions before they were 8, 6, and 4.

They think they know what's to come, what we are… They haven't even begun.

This is an important step in their development. Loving something that will break their hearts. And continuing to love it anyway.

Yeah, no kidding. When I'm still wearing a tank top and sandals in October, there is a problem.

It's finally sunny here in RAINY Florida, so I may actually get to spend some time outside. Though, wow, we slept late today. Eh, it's what vacations are for sometimes.

(Thanks Raq and beth!)

I think today is going to be a shopping day. One of my favorite kinds of day.
