We went to Hard Rock for dinner last night. It's their one-year anniversary, so they were having some special thing or other. That's right, there wasn't a Hard Rock Cafe in Athens until a year ago (I'm guessing they tried to open for the Olympics and didn't make it).
It was your typical Hard Rock experience, with the slight difference that they didn't force us to exit through the store. We did have to enter and exit through the bar, which was populated by the guys who won't wear motorcycle helmets because they would muss their manga heads.
So anyway, checked that off. A good start to vacation week.

Also, NC has once again become a planet from the Dagobah system. I turned on the AC last night when it was 80 degrees and 80% humidity in the house.

Morning. Hungry. One hour until the good restaurant opens. This requires getting out of bed, doesn't it?
I was supposed to get up early to do laundry, but I turned off my alarm instead. It made perfect sense at the time. It's now noon and I'm still in my pajamas. I think making a big cake is probably more important than having clean clothes though. Yes, there will be cake.
