Are bag searches common in the NY subway? I'd be so screwed if they did that on the El. More often than not, I'm carrying a bag of tools.

They started random bag searches in July, I think. I've only been searched once.
Oh! msbelle! I got the aprons and gloves today! Thank you SO much!
You said if I needed to wash them, to wash them in cold water -- can I wash the gloves, then, or did you mean just the aprons? I don't know anything about glove maintenance.
Never been searched, although I've walked past the tables they have set up several times.
cold water for all of them will be okay dokay.
My TiVo doesn't think there's anything good on tonight. Is it right?
Everybody Hates Chris was hysterical the first week (at one point, I had to run to the kitchen to spit out my drink in the sink, because I was in danger of choking on it). It was decent last week. And now, I'm just realizing it was on at 8:00pm, so never mind. It's worth catching in the future, if you at all like Chris Rock. I'm not sure if some of what appeals to me is that I am the same general age as Rock, and so the era feels familiar.

Damn. These things are getting smart quick!
Buffistas will be happy to know that the crazy Indiana legislative initiative to prohibit single people from receiving reproductive assistance has died. From the Indianapolis Star:
A controversial proposed bill to prohibit gays, lesbians and single people from using medical procedures to become pregnant has been dropped by its legislative sponsor.
State Sen. Patricia Miller, R-Indianapolis, issued a one-sentence statement this afternoon saying: “The issue has become more complex than anticipated and will be withdrawn from consideration by the Health Finance Commission.”

I realized I missed it this week. I enjoyed the first ep very much. My first love this season is still My Name is Earl. But both EHC and MNiE both have familiar senses of humor to me.
