Early: So is it still her room when it's empty? Does the room, the thing, have purpose? Or do we -- what's the word? Simon: I really can't help you. Early: The plan is to take your sister. Get the reward, which is substantial. 'Imbue.' That's the word.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

The bottle was Fiji water. I assumed she was drinking because.... well I dunno why. Mainly because she sounded fucked up and drunk. I do like the angst with Burke though.

Wait, is this real-world child support, where the money goes to buy food for the kids, or MRA fantasyland child support where the women just buy Ferraris and cocaine? -Jessica

So, a few days ago a guy sent me an email. His GF is dying, she has CF. One her wishes is to see Serenity before she dies, and she's in a hospice, can't move. He heard through fandom I can be a conduit. Can the movie be shown at the hospice? I verify the info with the hospice. Find Uni rep who can help, email him back.

Today I get an email from Joss' assistant, asked if the Uni rep helped. I can't get in touch with the guy, so check the hospice. She passed away yesterday.

I just feel awful about the whole thing. It's so fucked up, and I wish I could have done more, though, there was nothing more I can think of. It's such a sad thing.

I remember the crazy days. 500 posts an hour. Nubmer! Natgbsb

Eek, is sad. You did what you could. That is something and way more than nothing. You do lots of nice for people.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Damn, that's really sad. You did what you could.

I think they would have sent a DVD, if there had been a bit more time.

Oh, no, I'm sure that I did. I couldn't do more than get the information and pass it on. I'm just sad that it didn't all happen in time. I had no idea how little time there was.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

You did the things under your control, Allyson. That's all you can. Man, that's rough.

They probably didn't know how little time there was, either. Damn, that's a heartbreaking situation.

"In the equation E = mc⬧, c⬧ is a pretty big honking number." - Scola

an analog clock face

Not so much with the calculator part that I was looking for, though... It's cool. I just converted back and forth. I feel certain this assignment wasn't supposed to take quite so long -- was it really necessary that in addition to computing the angles using Ptolemy's formula, we also had to do the fractional part in base 60? Argh. Next up: calculus with the parabola. Ew.

Allyson, er, I'm trying to think of something to say that they didn't already. That's very sad.
