"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

ita, in one memorable episode of CSI, the prostitutes put some drugs on their nipples, but the skin absorbed the drugs so they and the johns were passed out.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Usually I'm so alert for nipple refs on TV too. I can't believe I blanked that.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I think it was one of the eps that Nick was attracted to one of the strippers/prostitutes.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I think you're two for two, Jesse.

Are you calling me cheesy AND unhelpful?? Hmph.

Thrive to spite them

I'm fairly sure Nick went out with the stripper/hooker and then she later turned up dead.

What is even happening?

I think you're two for two, Jesse.

Are you calling me cheesy AND unhelpful?? Hmph.

I think she was saying you're

1.) Correct in that you are cheesy and unhelpful

2.) Correct about the point of your post, as well

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Before I moved to New York, I had literally dozens of job interviews (that I travelled on my own dime for), none of which led to a job.... until six months after the fact, after I had moved here job-free, one of the first places I had interviewed called to offer me the job.

It's got to be the same kind of thing with a book. You go and go and go until someone says yes.

Quick manga question:

What order do you read the panels on the pages?

I think you're two for two

I though ita was talking about nipples.
