Yes, it's terribly simple. The good guys are always stalwart and true, the bad guys are easily distinguished by their pointy horns or black hats, and, uh, we always defeat them and save the day. No one ever dies, and everybody lives happily ever after.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

I think you're two for two, Jesse.

Are you calling me cheesy AND unhelpful?? Hmph.

Thrive to spite them

I'm fairly sure Nick went out with the stripper/hooker and then she later turned up dead.

What is even happening?

I think you're two for two, Jesse.

Are you calling me cheesy AND unhelpful?? Hmph.

I think she was saying you're

1.) Correct in that you are cheesy and unhelpful

2.) Correct about the point of your post, as well

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Before I moved to New York, I had literally dozens of job interviews (that I travelled on my own dime for), none of which led to a job.... until six months after the fact, after I had moved here job-free, one of the first places I had interviewed called to offer me the job.

It's got to be the same kind of thing with a book. You go and go and go until someone says yes.

Thrive to spite them

Quick manga question:

What order do you read the panels on the pages?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Are you calling me cheesy AND unhelpful??

You started it by calling my sister a slut.

Do I have to separate the two of you?

I had something useful to say but your bickering made me forget it.

...coffee filters, coffee filters ......DAMNIT.

I NEVER DID.

Crap, I don't want to do my homework. I have fake-done most of my reading, but I need to do more.

Hey, if I called you cheesy and unhelpful, you certainly maligned her ladylike nature.
