Buffy: So how'd she get away with the bad mojo stuff? Anya: Giles sold it to her. Giles: Well, I didn't know it was her. I mean, how could I? If it's any consolation, I may have overcharged her.

Our wings are not tired.

He's 6'1" or more at this point. He's 13 so I don't think he's done yet. Only about 150 pounds. I've started wearing heels.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Hee! or Good God!

I just washed my stovetop. It's still a new stove, and with the new car, I suppose it's feeling less special. By the way, a convecting oven? Is really neat and works as well as they claim.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Dag. I mean, I was 5'9" at 13ish, but I was done growing by then!

So, I watched Master and Commander this afternoon, and it was fine, but: those two guys are totally dating.

I'm watching Commander in Chief. I want to like it. Don't know if I can yet.

Silence means security silence means approval

My God. I'm watching the college football highlights, and I just saw the most hideous football injury I've seen since Joe Theismann.

I keep trying to convince the boys to get into golf or tennis to sooth their athletic urges. Alas, they like more injury inducing sports. They both like football, but they don't really have the right build. Bobby likes baseball and his brother basketball. We'll see what happens.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I have a friend who has a bad habit of going clothes shopping. I go with her, because I'm the voice of crank, and function as some sort of a leash.

Problem is, I have this impulse problem when it comes to pretty dresses. I can't shop on purpose, but I sure can drop cash at random.

I tried on this. It's so pretty. Silk. You can't tell from the pic that the slit goes pretty much up to where her wrist is. So fucking pretty.

She's trying to tell me to wear it to the krav holiday party, but they've done nothing to deserve it. It's so pretty. I think I'm inspired by the ur-dress in Serenity or something. Not that this is it. But I have an urge to go questing. I just can't justify this one.

But it's so pretty.

"I keep to a strict diet of ill-advised enthusiasm and heartfelt regret." Leigh Bardugo

It's very pretty! Where is the picture originally from?

BCBG catalogue.

Man, I wish I had that life, that meant I could think of a reason beyond "shiny!" to get the dress. The friend tried on this -- ignore the cheesiness of the model and the posing. It was seriously rocking on her, although she's still undecided. Still, if I looked like she looked in that dress, I'd buy it first, worry about it later.

Our wings are not tired.

Very pretty. Also, justifiable.
