Zoe: Next time we smuggle stock, let's make it something smaller. Wash: Yeah, we should start dealing in those black-market beagles.

You should! That's what LJ is for!

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

But you should share the silly and snarky!

When I've boiled it down to bullet points, I probably will. I think I've managed to map almost the entire movie to the run/campaign for/resurrection as movie of Firefly, but parts are still only clear in my head and my child is making weird noises at me.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Timelies!

I finished buying my new car yesterday -- handed over the Big Check, signed the dotted line for a Big Loan. And then the salesguy gave me a 30-minute Orientation About Your New Car lecture/demo, pointing out every little button, even the hidden ones.

I've never bought a new car before. My experience in taking possession of the newly-bought, previously-owned car was pretty much having the keys chucked in my general direction and being left to my own device(s).

Of course, the whole idea of a warranty is foreign to me as well....

hip deep in pie

Congrats on the new car Theo. Does it have a name yet?

"Serenity" and "Jayne" are neck and neck at this point. More for the former, it's a grey car. There will be pictures eventually.

move out and draw fire

I loved my Suba, Theo! Hopefully yours will be as good to you.

I've never bought a used car. My father bought nothing but used cars, but not from individuals; he'd buy them from a guy that ran a garage on our street. When I had to make my own car decisions, I decided that the cost of a new car was drastically less than the cost of a used car, based on my experiences with cars at home.

The Subaru station wagon was the first car I ever bought, and it was worth every penny and then some. Hardly any maintenance needs, up until the end, and 12 years of solid service all over the world.

Are you ready to be strong?

Hello, Bitches 'n' Hos Incorporated. I have to sit here with my leg in its "continuous passive motion" machine for four hours before I'm allowed to get up and take a shower. Entertain me, svp.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

FOUR HOURS? Sweetie, that's not fun. But! Will help you to be strong. I swear.

Can't entertain you though. I have to dash out to go yell at USPS employees. Again. I'm not sure why they think delivering my mail is optional.

RIO!

... I got nothing. I'm off to get my roots restored to their brunette glory, and then pick up a mission-style sideboard that a friend is giving me for free.

Oh -- I guess that means I need to make room for it in my kitchen. Ooops?
