I think I'm giving up on Alias. Back from Serenity. I've decided that it's actually Joss's version of a documentary about his experiences with Firefly.
I'd expand, but spoilery and wanky. But in my head? Funny.
There were many Jayne Hats in the audience. And Blue Sun shirts.
And a couple of Browncoats.
Swear to dog, it was like being at a con.
I think I'm giving up on Alias.
Was last night's ep that bad?

Expand in the Firefly thread or LJ, please. I'd be interested to hear it.
I didn't bother to watch it. Last season, it conflicted with our childbirth classes, and we never got around to watching the tapes.
I had no actual urge to watch last night. It was refreshing.
Jilli, I'll expand in email. Because while I could cheerfully write an essay about it, it's mostly me being silly and snarky.
However, if you are not spoiled, remain not spoiled, and I'll tell you after you've seen it.
Don't get me wrong--I liked the movie. It was fun.
I'm just having more fun picking it apart in ways that were never intended.
But you should share the silly and snarky!
You should! That's what LJ is for!
But you should share the silly and snarky!
When I've boiled it down to bullet points, I probably will. I think I've managed to map almost the entire movie to the run/campaign for/resurrection as movie of Firefly, but parts are still only clear in my head and my child is making weird noises at me.
Timelies!
I finished buying my new car yesterday -- handed over the Big Check, signed the dotted line for a Big Loan. And then the salesguy gave me a 30-minute Orientation About Your New Car lecture/demo, pointing out every little button, even the hidden ones.
I've never bought a new car before. My experience in taking possession of the newly-bought, previously-owned car was pretty much having the keys chucked in my general direction and being left to my own device(s).
Of course, the whole idea of a warranty is foreign to me as well....
