See, in my fantasy, when I'm kissing you... you're kissing me. It's okay. I can wait.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Was that two hours or three? Feels like three. Anyway I'm thoroughly exhausted. And at krav.

Have fun! Hit someone!

Stephanie, those pics are awesome (slowly working through on dialup.) Adorable cute AND you are making me homesick.

Also? I love that in one of her "oh god, WET" pictures, there is the 4th of July "Ooooooh!" one in the background.

Trust my rage

That 4th of July one is my mom's favorite. She has made many copies.

It's a really charming picture. You manage to capture a lot of her expression.

It's funny, when I see you and her, I see you in her so clearly. And when it is Joe? Him. She's lucky.

I'll tell him that. He thinks she only looks like me.

And ahhhh!

My parents have many, many, many pictures of me curled up with (and sometimes, curled up upon by) their cats, burmese Kitten and black Beau. I was probably just a nice warm body to them, but as soon as I was mobile, I chased them down just to rub on them. There's one kinda crazy picture of me at about a year) where I look like a total hedonist, dragging myself along Kitten. He just looks happy, but a little bewildered (and I was holding my nose. Cause, see, Kitten latched onto noses when he was happy.)

He thinks she only looks like me.

Newp. It's around the eyes and mouth, I think*.

* think, because I'm bad at determining WHAT it is about people that makes them resemble each other.

My SIL can't see herself in Dominic. Neither can my brother. However, us relatives? Marvel at how insane it is the child manages to eerily resemble both of their baby pictures. To the point where some could be interchanged. (And the funny thing is, my brother and his wife resemble each other more than they do their siblings. And yet they see the sibling resemblance more than to that of their child.)

Trust my rage

I see it all the time in other people and their kids, but it's very hard for me to see me in her or similarities between my mom and I.

I'll tell him what you said. I think Joe has been feeling a bit like he doesn't know how to be a dad. Ellie cries a lot when he holds her - not from stranger anxiety, but because he's just not very used to babies and he's mainly home at the end of the day when she's tired. Anyway, last night, he told me "She doesn't even look like me."
