Don't I get a cookie?

Spike ,'Never Leave Me'

Spike's Bitches 26: Damn right I'm impure!

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

isn't that the best feeling GC?

It certainly is :) Are you in grad school now or starting in the fall? If you're in now, how's it going? Are you liking it? Is it crazy hard?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I'm all about "Well, I don't have a sense of humour about that, anyway." There's shit you can rib me on until the cow's come home, and there's shit that if I've already told you is raw territory, I can do nothing but assume you're now deliberately trying to piss me off, or just don't care enough to pay attention to who you're talking to.

I’m responsible for my own happiness? I can’t even be responsible for my own breakfast! (Bojack Horseman)

GC, I started my first class toward my Masters in Higher Education this semester. I like it, and it's definitely an adjustment. I feel like I haven't used this part of my brain for a long, long time, and the cobwebs are still being dusted off.

I wish I could go to school full time but we cannot afford to either front $26K or lose a year of my income, and we'd be doing both if I left work to go to school. My work is currently paying for the degree, at least a couple classes a year. At the rate they are paying, I'll get my degree in 5 years, so I think we'll end up sharing the cost, and maybe knock it out in 3 years.

Trust my rage

Glad to hear Suzi and Annabel are both okay. I had never heard of "nursemaid's elbow" so I wasn't all that worried until I heard Susan's report.

I hate mean jokes.

You're doing exactly what I plan to do. Work will pay but I will supplement and plan to finish the coursework in 3 years while working full time. Of course, I have to actually get admitted first. I'm looking forward to having all of the application crap done (mid-December is the due date).

Oh yeah. That was such a relief. my deadline was Dec. 31... and I had focused so hard on the GREs, which I took on the 28th, that the application process was, how shall we say, rushed. But it all worked out. I was very happy when I got the admission letter.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

I first read that as 'cocksillustrated.com.'

That domain is still available....

Thrive to spite them

I hurt my leg/knee today. I have newish shoes with little kitten heels and I was turning to go down the stairs at work and I caught the edge of the heel and slipped and ended up sprawled down 2 stairs. Not really hard fall, but I wrenched my knee one way and my other leg the other way.

Then later, again making a curve, this time not near stairs, I caught the edge of the heel and my foot twisted and I almost went down. Same leg. It's shorter than my other and turns in a bit so I tend to step more with the outside of my foot and I do this, but I've never fallen on the stairs.

I have no advice about the asshole who thinks s/he's funny. I never know how to react to that.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Nevermind, Hec. I've gotta go...

Sorry - work has intruded.

There will be pictures later. This better be a GOOD cut!

Excellent.

I've scheduled a meeting with my boss this afternoon to explain to her why she's giving me a stroke. This should go over well. In effect I am initiating a conversation where I will have to take a full blast of critcism and then get past it. So fun.
